Northern Light Church of Christ

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.- Titus 3:5-7

"We are a family dedicated to glorifying God by reaching out, teaching His Word, seeking growth and serving family, youth and community."

Our mission comes straight from God, who said; "Let light shine out of darkness." (2 Corinthians 4:6).  We are called to shine as a beacon of love in our community.  We would love for you to be included in our future, and us in yours.  We invite you to journey with us toward greater faith, hope and love.

Our foremost desire is not simply for you to join a church, but to be joined to Jesus Christ, God's Son.  This makes you an eternal member of God's family.  If you're not ready to identify with Jesus, you remain most welcome to come to our services, make inquiries and befriend us.  We are here for you!  If you have identified with Jesus, you are ready to identify with us as a member and claim us as your church home.

This Sunday’s Worship Theme

September 5, 2010

Discerning the Body!”

TEXT:  1 Corinthians 11:27-34.

It did not take long for the early church to corrupt the Lord’s Supper.  What was established as a remembrance and proclamation of the Lord’s death, soon became a divisive and harmful occasion in Corinth and elsewhere.  What happened?

All Things are Possible with God!”

TEXT:  Mark 10:17-27.

When Jesus explained how hard it was for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God, his disciples asked, “Who then can be saved?”  Instead of saying it was easier for a poor man to be saved, Jesus affirmed that with God all things are possible.  He gives us eternal life and we must give him our all.

Jude 1:12-13

Exodus 12:24-28

 Mark 14:12 & 22-26

Next weekend is our Fall Festival which will culminate in a family feast on Sunday morning, much like they enjoyed in the first century church.  The Bible is full of joyous feasting and 2010 is no time to stop this wonderful and worshipful tradition.
